It's about time!

Wow! Where has the time gone? Things do happen in a "blink". Summer really didn't start until July 1st when the kids were out of school. I was able to take them to Liberty park for fireworks and take them camping. I was able to take the kids to the float preview and the Rodeo one night. We loved the rodeo! The girls did feel bad for the animals. The kids had a little more camping. We had Webelos Camp, Girls Camp, Oakcrest, and Millhollow. We have been able to go swimming a few times and it was fun. We have been able to make the most of the summer.

Fall is our favorite time of the year. Leaves turning color, the weather cooling off, football, and carmel apples. Starting school has been hectic and expensive. Public school is not free. Everytime I turn around there is another fee. Two in Jr High. Three in all day school now. Gives me plenty of time to spend at Iceberg or on the books. The kids are doing great in school better than I ever did. Ashlie has her sight on graduation and what classes she will need for College already. Wow! I never thought about college until my senior year. She also has her sights set on the drivers permit that is just in her reach. As for myself, I am in denial.

We really miss our dad. The restaurant is all consuming of his time and some of mine. The kids have been great at the adjustment. As for Brook and myself we are still fighting the change. This has been the hardest undertaking we have ever done. We are so grateful for the phone calls and support of so many people! Just when I think another wave is going to crush me, I get a phone call saying "how are you". So thank you! It means a lot.

We were just thinking of you guys and wondering how you were surviving. You are truly one of the "wonder women". How do you do it all??
